Data deletion
Last updated: 3 October 2026
How to ask us to delete your personal data, including conversations, calls and WhatsApp.
1. How to request deletion
You can ask for your personal data to be deleted at any time, free of charge. Send an email to contact@nauva.ai with the subject "Data deletion" and include:
- your name;
- the phone number or email you used with Nauva (for example the WhatsApp number you spoke from);
- whether the request is about your account on the platform or about conversations and calls with an agent.
Do not send more information than necessary: we use this data only to identify you and handle the request.
2. What happens next
- We confirm receipt of the request and verify your identity, if needed.
- We delete the data within 30 days.
- We send you a confirmation by email when it is done.
3. What data we delete
- Account data: name, email, phone, company and settings.
- Conversation and call data: recordings, transcripts, summaries and messages, including WhatsApp ones.
- Contact and booking data linked to your number or email.
4. What we may have to keep
Some data has to be kept because of a legal obligation, such as billing and tax data (up to 10 years). If that is the case, we explain what we keep, for how long and why. That data is no longer used for any other purpose.
5. If you spoke to a customer's agent
When you talk to the agent of a business that uses Nauva, that business is the controller of your data and Nauva processes it on its behalf. You can send the request to Nauva and we forward it to the business, or ask the business directly. Either way, we help make sure it is handled.
6. WhatsApp
When the WhatsApp channel is available, data from WhatsApp conversations (messages, phone number and history) is handled like the rest of the conversation and call data. You can ask for it to be deleted in the same way, using the email address above.
7. More information
Your rights and data processing are described in Platform privacy. If you are not satisfied with the reply, you can lodge a complaint with the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt), the Portuguese data protection authority.
